CHA—Yay!

Warm welcome, cool temperatures in Anaheim!
Warm welcome, cool temperatures in Anaheim!

Four seminars, one roundtable discussion, one Designer Sneak Peek at CHA products, lots of chatting with industry pals like Katie Hacker and Claudine Hellmuth, TONS of new information…and the trade show hasn’t even started yet!

I feel so official!

The show opens tomorrow, so today I took seminars all day, on everything from blogging to creating online videos. Then this evening, a special treat just for CHA Designer Members: The Product Sneak Peek. Yes, a first glimpse at the cool new items that will debut on the show floor tomorrow!

Cool new jewelry treasures from Katie Hacker and Beadalon!

Katie Hacker is a delight and I love these Beadalon components. Can’t wait to fill them with resin! (I see a class in my future, using these…)

Or maybe I can combine them with epoxy Jewelry Clay—this was the first time I’d played with this (it’s from EnviroTex…you’ve probably seen their 2-part resin epoxy on the craft store shelves) and it was so fun and easy!

So cute…a tea cup and little doughnut embedded in epoxy clay from EnviroTex.

I played with gorgeous Dual Brush Tombow pens, spoke with the lovely April at Clearsnap (I’m swooning over inkpads and Smooches!), and checked out Fiskars’ new Fuse Creativity System Starter Set, which does die-cutting and letterpress. (I totally want this machine, and I am not a “machine-y” crafter. Oh, I guess that’s the point of the show, isn’t it?)

And just in time for my in-progress article on Gelatos for Stamp & Scrap Arts magazine, the new Faber-Castell catalog!

My reading material tonight: Faber-Castell’s lovely catalog.

Okay, time to go to bed…another 8:00am start tomorrow and I’ve got to be rested (or at least caffeinated) to make the most of it!

Happy Friday!
