If you don’t live in Poland, or near Poland, you might not realize how lovely it is. You might not think of Poland at all, actually—I certainly didn’t, before we moved here. There’s a lot of reparation to be done, of course… some places are still run-down or neglected or badly graffittied or just plain unattractive (Soviet-inspired apartment blocks come to mind). But I’m constantly charmed by small things, like the sight of this watchtower looking out over the Baltic Sea, against a perfect blue sky.
