{Project} Wednesday: Cardmaking with Big Brush Pens

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today on Studio SN, we’re Cardmaking with Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens!

Big Brush Pens from Faber-Castell are filled with waterproof, permanent India ink. The big brush tip makes them ideal for coloring stamps and creating soft, pretty backgrounds.

Stamping with Big Brush Pens

Cardmaking with Big Brush Pens, what you need—

Cardmaking with Big Brush Pens, how to do it—

  1. Scribble Light Green pen on an acrylic block and spritz with water. Stamp the block onto white cardstock. Spritz the block again and stamp slightly overlapping the first impression. Let dry.
  1. Color the feather stamp with Light Green, then add areas of May Green, then Cobalt Green in the center and feather tips. Spritz with water and stamp on the white cardstock piece. Let dry.
  1. Stamp the sentiment with black next to the feather. Mat the piece on black, then green cardstock. Wrap with silver thread, then mat again on white.
  1. Cover one half of the card front with khaki cardstock, and the other half with teal. Glue the stamped focal in the center.
  1. Tie a bow in blue ribbon and glue as shown. Add self-adhesive gemstones on the feather.

That’s it—easy! To see the video tutorial, just stop by Studio SN on You Tube to watch the Cardmaking with Big Brush Pens video.

  1. Thanks for linking the site for the feather stamps. They were already on my wishlist at Paper Wishes. I ordered them tonight along with a few other items on my wishlist. I love this card and have to make some of my own. I know my friends would love to receive one! Hugs!!!

  2. Oh, I LOVE those feather stamps…I think they’re some of the most versatile designs from Paper Wishes! Enjoy! 🙂
