{Project} Wednesday: Couture Nutcracker Rocking Horse Christmas Card

Happy Wednesday!

This week I wanted to showcase one of the *new* Couture dies from the Christmas 2017 launch from Create and Craft last week. I love this rocking horse from the Nutcracker collection, not only because I love images of vintage toys for Christmas, but because I think the versatility of this design is fantastic…couldn’t you see this card done in pastel colors for a baby card?

Nutcracker Rocking Horse Card, what you need—

Nutcracker Rocking Horse Card, how to make it—

Place the rocking horse die in the center of kraft cardstock and cut. The image will remain in the cardstock. Glue to a piece of book paper, then mat on black and red card.

Die cut the border from red. Glue below the horse.

Die cut the rocking horse from black cardstock, then use scissors to snip away the horse. Glue over the horse image on the kraft card.

Die cut the horse from red, then save the portions of the saddle. Use the precision metal tip to put glue in the saddle areas, then gently place the red pieces into the open spaces.

Glue the piece to a scallop card blank and add a green bow.
