{Project} Wednesday: Painting with Clearsnap Pigment Ink

Today on Studio SN: Painting with Clearsnap Pigment Ink!

Did you know you can use your pigment inkpads to paint stamped images? It’s so easy—and a great way to put your pigment inks to another use.

Painting stamped images with chalk ink

I’ve added touches of glitter as well—here’s a close up!

Painting with Clearsnap Pigment Ink: What you need—

Crafter’s Pigment inkpads: Cupid, Spiced Plum, Bark (Clearsnap)

• Stamps: Paper Dolls (Hot Off The Press)

• Embossing ink (Versamark)

• Primary Ebony Superfine embossing powder (WOW Embossing)

• Embossing tool

Glossy Accents (Ranger)

• Fine clear glitter

• Cardstock: White matte, black, blue

• Craft sheet

• Water spritzer

• Paintbrushes (flat, fine-tip)

• Blank white card

How to make it—

1. Stamp and emboss the paper doll, the butterfly and the “anything is possible” sentiment in black on white cardstock.

2. Press each of the three inkpads onto your craft sheet and spritz lightly with water. Use the flat brush to paint the paper doll skirt with Cupid. Finish the detail of the skirt and the bodice, plus the butterfly, with the smaller brush.

3. Paint the band of her dress with Spiced Plum, then use Spiced Plum to accent the folds of her skirt.

4. Paint her hair with Bark.

5. Apply Glossy Accents to the band of her dress, the folds of her skirt and some of her hair. Sprinkle with clear glitter, tap off the excess and let dry.

6. Mat on black, then blue and glue to the card front.

That’s it—easy! If you’d like to see a video tutorial on this project, just stop by Studio SN to watch the Painting with Clearsnap Pigment Ink!
