Wednesday Update: Buttons, Buttons!

Just some of my Christmas market vintage button finds!

I am trying to type very quietly…

Currently I’m sitting on the floor in my childhood bedroom while Anna struggles to nap in a new place, in a different room, in a different time zone, after arriving in Oregon on Monday afternoon. I have to say, she’s doing better than I could have hoped. But still. I am typing quietly.

So for today’s update…well…a few weekends ago, we all went to the Christmas market in Cologne. There’s a woman who has a stall with vintage buttons and haberdashery items, and no matter the crowd, I always make a point to stop there for some of her gorgeous stuff.

This year I picked up some beautiful small glass buttons to use on tags and bindings on handmade books, plus some larger buttons to use on these cocktail rings I’ve been making and selling.

Vintage buttons: *swoon*.

These vintage lovelies will be used to make cocktail rings.

The other buttons I got are for a special collage pack I’m putting together for a drawing I’ll do from the first 10 people who sign up for my online Found Poetry workshop on Creative Workshops. The buttons are just some of the fun collage stuff I’ll put together, including text paper, vintage lace and some other goodies I’ve set aside. So while you’re putting the finishing touches on your Christmas week, stop on by the CW site and check out some of the workshops available…if you sign up for the Found Poetry class, you’ll be entered to win this exclusive collage pack!
