{Project Wednesday}: Sea Shell Card

This card is so super simple to make, and yet it’s one of my favorites!

I stamped the Starfish Document stamp (Christine Adolph for Stampington) with blue ink onto watercolor rag paper. The paper is already deckle-edged, so I simply wrapped it with silver embroidery thread, then secured a sea horse brad in the bottom corner. The “simple joys” stamp is from the Christmas Words stamp set from Hot Off The Press, which has since been discontinued. (You might have the set, or substitute another sentiment.) Once the brad is secured into the rag paper, the entire piece is added to the card front.

I bought the rag watercolor paper by the sheet at an art supply store. While it was a little pricey, I felt it made the simplicity of the design stand out. You could substitute any thick, quality paper for the rag paper, though. Clean and classic is always in style!

Enjoy!
