Today on Studio SN on You Tube: Winter Cardmaking with Eclectica Stamps!

Winter Eclectica Stamped card

This card features a painted, embossed background—the cool colors and sparkly embossing are great for winter cards but also appropriate for lots of other seasons too! Better yet, it’s easy to make.

  • Cardstock: White, lavender, navy
  • Cosmetic wedge
  • Heat tool
  • Foam tape
  • Blue brads
  • Blue silk ribbon, purple and white baker;s twine
  • Stipple brush
  • Brayer
  • Large clear acrylic block
  • Small acrylic block
  • Water mister
  • Blank white card

Winter Cardmaking with Eclectica Stamps, how to do it—

  1. Squeeze a few drops of Lilac paint on the large acrylic block. Use the brayer to spread the paint around, taking care to leave some areas unpainted.
  1. Turn the block over and press onto the white cardstock. Lift and immediately sprinkle white embossing glitter in the center. Tap off excess, then heat-set.
  1. Place a few drops of Orchid paint onto the small block. Spritz with water, then use the stipple brush to spatter color onto the background.
  1. Use Bark ink to stamp the branch across the center of the painted piece. Use a cosmetic wedge to apply Orchid paint on all four sides of the cardstock. Let dry, then mount on white, lavender and navy cardstock. Wrap diagonally with navy ribbon and baker’s twine. Add a brad at each corner, then glue to the card front.
  1. Stamp and emboss the bird on white card with Burgundy. Cut out just the bird body.
  1. Use the stipple brush to spatter Lilac paint on white cardstock. Let dry, then punch into a 1 3/4” circle and edge with Lilac. Glue to the card front, just slightly underneath the ribbon. Add the bird with foam tape.
  1. Stamp “peace” with Bark on white card and punch into a 7/8” circle. Mat on a 1” lavender circle. Foam tape to the card front. Tie a piece of baker’s twine around the ribbon and tie in a bow.
