Technique of the Month: Coloring with Clearsnap Izink

Today on Studio SN on You Tube: Coloring with Clearsnap Izink!

Izink is a line of acrylic-based pigment inks. They’re made by Aladine in France, and carried by Claearsnap around the world. These inks come in rich, fabulous colors and can be used for lots of different techniques. Here I’ve used them to color in a stamped flower for an easy card focal.

Coloring with Clearsnap Izink, what you need—

Coloring with Clearsnap Izink, how to do it—

  1. Stamp the flower on white matte cardstock with embossing ink. Sprinkle with Denim embossing powder and heat-set.
  1. Use the applicator to deposit some Rose Izink onto the acrylic block. Spritz with water, then paint over the stamped image. Add more Rose to the block and use the Accent Tip to add more undiluted color onto the flower. Deposit Gentian onto the block and color in some petals. Let dry, then cut out the flower.
  1. Mount the flower onto white cardstock with foam tape. Mat on navy, then add a navy button in the center.
  1. Stamp and emboss the butterfly on pink cardstock. Add the “Hello” sticker next to the butterfly. Mat on silver glimmer, then navy and glue to the card front. Wrap with embroidery thread. Tie a bow in gingham ribbon and glue to the front. Add the matted flower focal.
