This photo was taken on the beach in Virginia, and when I took it, I thought: This image will always make me think of summertime. Ironic, since I was on the beach in early March, in the wind and cold…maybe it’s the boats, looking so ready, or the sand and shells and grass. Who knows, but that wet and stormy March morning brought me the gift of summer.
