Today on Studio SN on You Tube: Stamped and Embossed Christmas Cards with IndigoBlu!

stamped and embossed Christmas card

Looking for a versatile Christmas card design? This simple stamp-emboss-color technique is for you!

I love this snowflake stamp—it’s perfect for Christmas and it works beautifully for general “winter wishes” cards that can be sent all the way into January. (Or whenever the snow melts around your place!)

You’ll need:

– Stamp: Snowflake Lace (IndigoBlu)

Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens: BT4, TB3

– Metalline Violet Regular embossing powder: WOW! Embossing Powder

– Embossing inkpad (Versamark)

– Teal ribbons: Narrow, wide

– Cardstock: White (Neenah Classic Crest Card from Crafter’s Companion; Ultra Smooth from Paper Wishes works well too); cream, teal, blue

– Blank white card

How to do it:

1. Stamp the snowflake image on Neenah Classic Crest cardstock, then emboss with violet. Trim to size and ink the edges of the piece with Versamark. Apply violet embossing powder on the edges and heat-set.

2. Color some of the snowflakes with BT4 and some with TB3.

3. Mat on cream cardstock, leaving a wider border on the right side. Mat again on blue, then cream and teal. Wrap with narrow teal ribbon, then tie a wide teal ribbon around and knot to secure.

4. Mount on a blank white card.
