Altenew Vintage Flowers

I’m going to consider this a Throwback Thursday kind of post—the Vintage Flowers stamp set I’m using today is one I’ve had for 6 years… I got it when I was demonstrating on an Altenew show on Create and Craft TV waaaaay back when. This was at the very beginning of my journey in the layered-stamping technique, and long before I had a MISTI.

Fast forward, and I’m still using the Vintage Flowers stamp set. It’s that kind of classic—flowers never go out of style, and this set is truly packed with lots of layer-able flowers in all sizes. I never get tired of this set, and it’s also easy to refresh with new sentiments.

Last night I hosted a Facebook Live with this set, plus the Painted Greetings stamps and the Signature Words dies.

You can watch the video replay from last night, and see more of the cards below!

Above, you can see layered stamping to create a dimensional rose. I masked off the leaves and blossom to stamp the branch.

The “thinking of you” card features more layered stamps, while the “celebrate” card uses a variety of vintage browns to stamp single images as a background.

These two cards have the exact same layout, but with different inks. Just add a die-cut sentiment and you have an easy and elegant background.

That’s it—enjoy!
