{Project} Wednesday: Altenew Neighborhood Card

Happy (*ahem*) Thursday to you! Yes, I’ve been a bit behind but I’m happy to share a fun little Altenew project with you today! This was from the Altenew Facebook Live video I did last month…pop on over to their Facebook page to watch!

You will need:

Altenew Neighborhood Stamp set

Altenew Neighborhood Die set

Altenew Jet Black ink

Altenew Framed Die set

Cardstock: Red, blue, white, black, gray, kraft

Blank white card

Baker’s twine

Waterbrush and water mister

Craft sheet

Die cutting machine

Double sided tape

Instructions:

Press the black inkpad onto the craft sheet and add water to make a wash. Use the waterbrush to spatter the card front. Use black ink to stam the welcome sentiment at the bottom left.

Use the black ink to add color to the edges of the card front.

Die cut the rectangular frame from kraft and white cardstock pieces. Glue them both to the card front, with the white inset into the kraft frame.

Place the house die onto blue cardstock, then trim the cardstock so it’s just a bit larger than the shape. Secure with washi tape or masking tape. Place double-sided tape on the back side of the blue cardstock. Don’t remove the liner. Die cut. Your house will be a sticker. Secure it to the card front, on top of the framed motif. Take a look:

Repeat to make sticker die cuts with the white fence, red doghouse and house roof, gray door, black window frame, black doghouse door and kraft dog. Add them all to the card front.

Tie a bow in baker’s twine and glue as shown.

And here’s another little idea—glue the elements to white cardstock, then draw a bit of chimney smoke with a fine tip pen. Tip: I cut the window frame from kraft cardstock to make a “brick” chimney!

Easy, right? Such a super-cute die set, I love this one…and how many fun possibilities!

See you next week!
