{Project} Wednesday: Sent with Love Valentine Card

Hello friends! It’s great to be back in the swing of things here in the studio, after weeks of traveling to trade shows. Today I’m happy to share a handmade card with you, one that can be used as a Valentine…or as a general “I love you” card. This is featuring one of my new Eclectica stamp sets from PaperArtsy, plus a new (and soooo versatile) stencil.

Enjoy!

Sent with Love Valentine, what you need:

Sent with Love Valentine, how to make it:

Use the brayer to apply Bougainvillia paint onto a piece of white cardstock. Let dry, then sprinkle with Infusions. Mist lightly with water until the Infusions react, then let dry. Note: The more water you use, the more diluted the color will be. My trick? Spritz once, wait a moment, then spritz again if desired.

Mix Vintage Lace paint with Satin Glaze to create a transparent medium. Place the stencil on top of the brayered piece and stipple through the open areas. Remove the stencil and let the piece dry. Mount on black card and glue to a white card blank.

Stamp the bird on a white cardstock circle. Add paint to accent areas of the bird and script. Cut a black circle slightly larger than the white one, and mount the two together, then adhere to the card with foam tape.

Stamp the sentiment on white card and mount on black, then glue to the card front, slightly underneath the bird. Add a bow tied in baker’s twine.

Thanks for joining me today! It’s good to be back in the studio…and I’ll look forward to seeing you next week!
