{Project} Wednesday: Stamping & Gilding with IndigoBlu MegaFlake

Hello! I’m so glad to be back in town and ready for you with another Studio SN video! Today we’re Stamping and Gilding with IndigoBlu MegaFlake. Enjoy the show!

how to use indigoblu gilding flake for stamping

If you were at the Creative Exchanges event in the UK this spring, this card will look familiar. Still, I think it’s such a fun and easy technique, I wanted to share it with you.

Stamping and Gilding with IndigoBlu MegaFlake, what you’ll need—

IndigoBlu FlitterGlu Starter Kit without MegaFlake

IndigoBlu MegaFlake Eton Mess (please note: any color will work!)

IndigoBlu Heart Flourish Stamp

– Black, white cardstock

– Blank white card

– Patterned paper: Fontastic Ephemera set from IndigoBlu

– Hemp twine

Not in the UK? You can get MegaFlake and FlitterGlu at paperwishes.com.

Stamping and Gilding with IndigoBlu MegaFlake, how to do it—

Tip: It helps to decant the MegaFlake from the jar into the plastic box in the kit—this keeps the mess to a minimum!

1. Apply FlitterGlu on the Phat Foam, then use the Phat Foam to apply the glue to the stamp.

2. Stamp the image onto black cardstock. Clean the stamp immediately, or drop it in water so the glue doesn’t dry on it.

3. Apply MegaFlake to the stamped image, pressing the flake on with your fingertips. Brush off excess with your fingers, returning it to the box. Use the Scootchy Sponge to burnish the image.

4. Mat the piece on white cardstock. Tie a bow in hemp twine and glue at the bottom of the heart.

5. Mat two sides of the 6″x6″ patterned paper piece on black and glue to the card front. Glue the matted heart to the card front.

That’s it! And if you’d like to watch the video tutorial, just pop over to Studio SN on You Tube to see the Stamping and Gilding with IndigoBlu MegaFlake.

Happy Wednesday!
