Project Wednesday: Thank You Watercolor Ink Brayering Card

This simple ink brayering technique is a big favorite…it’s a great way to get a soft, pretty background for your cards, especially effective for clean and simple designs. Plus, it’s a fun way to get your ink pads to do double duty as watercolors!

Sara Naumann Thank You Card 1

This the season for giving thanks…and this easy card is a great starter for a quick and heartfelt sentiment.

Thank You Card, what you need…
Dye ink pads: Fresh Lemon, Coral Berry, Caramel Toffee, Deep Iris (Altenew)
Cutting dies: Flower Arrangement, Framed Dies (Altenew)
Cardstock: Kraft, white, eggplant
Foam tape
Brayer
Water brush
Water mister
Gold thread
Sequins
Craft sheet

Thank You Card, how to make it…
Press Fresh Lemon, Coral Berry and Caramel ink pads onto the craft sheet. Mist with water and run the brayer through the ink, then down a piece of white cardstock. Press Deep Iris ink onto the craft sheet, mist with water and use the water brush to spatter onto the white cardstock.

Ink the edges with Deep Iris. Wrap with gold thread, then adhere to the front of the card with foam tape.

Die cut the words from kraft cardstock. Die cut the frame from white and eggplant, then add to the card front with foam tape. Tie a bow in gold thread and place as shown. Add sequins.

That’s it…easy!
