Tuesday Tutorial: Quick and Easy Lustre Polish Background Technique

Today I have a quick and easy way to create colorful, textured backgrounds with Creative Expressions’ Lustre Polish!

Simply apply Bubblegum Lustre Polish onto your craft sheet and spread it out with a palette knife. Press white cardstock into the medium, then lift straight up. I like to leave some white showing, but if you want more coverage, simply repeat by pressing the cardstock into the medium again. Tip: Have some extra cardstock on hand to make the most of the Lustre Polish—alternatively, you can scrape up the leftover Lustre Polish and put it back into the pot.

Let the piece dry, then mat top and bottom onto blue cardstock and glue to the front of a pink card blank. Wrap with sheer pink ribbon and silver thread, then add oval die cuts with foam tape. The sentiment is the Mini Expressions Just for You Cutting Die, also from Creative Expressions, cut from blue card and cut apart to be rearranged to fit onto the die cut oval. Add self-adhesive gems.
