Sara’s Stamping Technique: Watercolor Penwork Card, #withlove

What you need—

– Stamps: Eclectica ESN25 stamp set (PaperArtsy)

– Dye based markers: Carmine Red, Olive Green, May Green (Kuretake)

– White cardstock

– Red ribbons

– Blank white card

– Brayer

– Water brush

– Rhinestone accents

-Nested oval cutting dies and die cutting machine

-Water mister and craft sheet

-MISTI Stamp positioner (My Sweet Petunia)

Tip: For this technique, I really recommend a MISTI. It makes it much easier to re-stamp if you need to add more color or more water to a specific area.

How to make it—

Scribble May Green pen onto a craft sheet. Spritz with water. Roll the brayer through the watery ink and onto the white cardstock. Let dry. Place the collage stamps onto a block, color them with Olive Green and stamp the background randomly.

https://bellacraftspublishing.com/stamping-techniques-with-sara-naumann/Run the May Green marker along the edges of the cardstock and glue to the front of the blank white card.

Wrap the card front with red ribbon, securing the ends to the front of the card where they’ll be hidden by the ovals.

Place the stamp on the stamp positioner and secure white cardstock in place. Use the Olive Green marker to color the leaves, the May Green to color the postmark and some text. Use Carmine Red to color the focal of the design. Spritz lightly with water, then stamp. Lift the stamp positioner; if you want to re-color any areas and re-stamp, do this now.

Make a watery wash of Olive Green ink on the craft sheet and use the water brush to spatter onto the cardstock.

Die cut the piece into an oval and edge with May Green marker. Die cut a larger oval and glue the two together.

Glue the ovals to the card front. Tie a bow in red ribbon and glue as shown. Add rhinestone accents.

So easy! I hope you enjoyed the technique. For more ideas like this, be sure to check out my new book, Sara’s Stamping Techniques, available July 2. From now through the end of the month, you can save with a special pre-order price of just $9.97. For more info, stop on by the Bella Crafts website.
