Winter Kids Crafts: Easy Snowman Magnets

Hi friends, today I have something a little different for you!

On Monday I was part of the Winter Craft Day at Anna’s school. Several parents came with craft activities for the second graders. We each had a table and the kids could circulate from one to another, making all kinds of fun handmade things. It seems we have some very creative parents and kids!

Kids at my station made these magnetic snowmen. It’s so simple, and makes for an easy craft for groups… so if you find yourself having to entertain one or more kids this holiday season, please feel free to use this project. It’s also one that can be adapted with small pom poms, real buttons, gems or sequins, coloring and more.

What you need: craft sticks; white card (I die cut three different circles beforehand but many kids could either cut by hand or do the die cutting themselves); googly eyes; orange, black and brown card; a pencil or pen; a small magnet plus sturdy glue. I used a liquid glue to adhere the magnet, the eyes and the snowman body to the craft stick. Kids used a glue stick for arms and nose.

Enjoy…and happy winter crafting!
